Bare Bones was formed around a belief in the power of one of the first culinary creations: broth. As they grew from local to national and from hand labeled to professionally packaged, they needed a pouch that conveyed both their love for broth as well as how approachable and simple this time honored tradition could be.
As the lead designer, I helped develop multiple directions for both the brand and packaging. After aligning on one with the client, we expanded the system to include pouches and cases of all Bare Bones' flavors.
The mark takes inspiration from both the cross-section of a bone and the Rod of Asclepius, an ancient symbol of health.
